About the teacher...
Hi, I’m Amanda, a Clinical Mind-Body Therapist, Trauma Specialist, and former U.S. Peace Corps volunteer who served in rural South Africa. Today, I live in Guatemala, where I serve on the board of directors of an educational NGO. I work remotely to help people who were previously discouraged by decades of unsuccessful treatment finally breakthrough and heal from trauma and stress-related illness and chronic pain.

As the world rapidly shifts and the structures we've relied upon our entire lives destabilize, a startle response is sweeping across humanity. Scientifically, this startle response is a really big deal inside of our brains.
What we think and feel in moments of shock become solidified as unconscious beliefs inside of our brains... That means we begin to live by those beliefs... because this what our brain is doing...
